Your advertising choices for Semestree

We use Google advertising tags to measure whether an ad click led to a signup and to build remarketing audiences. Under California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other state privacy laws, that counts as sharing your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as targeted advertising. You can turn it off here.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never send your account details or the study materials you upload to advertising partners. What the tags send is listed in section 10 of our Privacy Policy.

Your current setting

How this works

• Your choice is stored in this browser, not in your account. If you use Semestree on another browser or device, or clear your site data, set it there too.
• We honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out and never load the advertising tags — no action needed from you.
• Opting out does not limit the Service. No feature is locked and signup is not blocked. You may still see ads, but they are not based on your activity here.
• A choice you make here wins over the GPC signal, in both directions — that is how you can turn advertising back on even if your browser sends GPC.

Your other privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to know what personal information we hold, to get a copy of it, to correct it, and to have it deleted. You can exercise all four yourself:

• Get a copy— Settings > Account > Download my data. You get a machine-readable JSON file.
• Correct— Settings > Account.
• Delete— Settings > Account > Delete account. Access ends immediately and everything is permanently destroyed within 30 days.
