About Semestree
Retyping your semester into a calendar isn't studying
Semestree is a study service that automates how college students run a semester. Upload a single syllabus PDF and your class schedule, assignment due dates, and exam dates become a full semester calendar. Upload course material and you get summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and an AI tutor that answers from that material.
The problem we work on
The information for one semester starts out scattered. Your schedule lives in the registration portal, deadlines in LMS announcements, exam scope inside a syllabus PDF, and your own notes in whichever app you happen to use.
So every term begins the same way: read it, retype it, add it to a calendar one entry at a time. None of that is studying, yet it takes real time — and once you fall behind on it, you miss a deadline. Semestree does the retyping for you.
How it works
Upload
Drop in the syllabus PDF as it is — no renaming, no picking a course first. Don't have one yet? A single screenshot of your timetable is enough. Course material can be PDF, PPTX, DOCX, photos of handwritten notes, scans, or a YouTube link.
We read it — then you confirm
Semestree finds your class times and every assignment, exam, and deadline, with the heavy lifting happening in the background. Before anything is saved we show you what was read so you can correct it on the spot — nothing lands in your calendar unconfirmed.
The semester runs itself
A whole semester lands on your calendar and to-do list, and reminders reach you 7, 3, and 1 days before each deadline. Uploaded material turns into summaries, mindmaps, quizzes, and flashcards. When a date changes mid-term, re-uploading the revised syllabus is the whole update — Semestree finds what changed and proposes it.
What we hold to
Confirm before saving
Reading times off a picture can be a few minutes out, so nothing is ever saved automatically — there is always one confirmation screen. Mid-semester changes work the same way: only what you approve touches your calendar.
No invented evidence
You won't find a star rating, a user count, or a testimonial anywhere on this site. We haven't collected any under the Semestree name, so we publish none. When we have real responses, we'll show those.
Your material stays yours
What you upload is used only to power your own account's study features, and you can delete it yourself at any time. How to request access, correction, or deletion is set out in our privacy policy.
Where you can use it
The web app and the iOS app share one account. The interface and everything the AI writes are in English. LaTeX renders cleanly for STEM material, scans and handwriting are read with vision OCR, and if you record a lecture the transcript lands in that course's files, ready for summaries and quizzes.
